Grassroots Trust Central support Hawkes Bay Rowing Club

The Hawke’s Bay Rowing Club Incorporated, established 140 years ago, is one of the region’s most successful sports club. They have a passion for the sport, a desire to succeed, camaraderie, plus a willingness from their volunteers who give it all and keep it moving forward.

The club’s Coach Boats are at the end of their lives and becoming a safety concern. Striving to maintain the club’s high standards, their coaches must have reliable and safe equipment to support their athletes effectively.

Grassroots Trust Central showed their support and granted $45,634.86 towards purchasing three coach boat packages which will improve training programs, athlete performance and create a safer environment for all participants.

The partnership enabled the custom design of a new, state-of-the-art coach boat by Machina Boats, significantly boosting our capabilities on the Clive and Ngaruroro Rivers. This crucial upgrade ensures our crews can continue to excel in a safe and competitive environment. We are deeply grateful for this support, which propels our mission of nurturing top-tier rowing talent”.
