2025-28 Problem Gambling Levy Report

The Gambling Commission has released its recommendations on the 2025-28 Problem Gambling Levy, with positive outcomes for GMANZ.

The Gambling Commission’s recommendations are potentially very good for Class 4, and have adopted/are supportive of GMANZ’ positions.

The Commission opposed the increase in the levy, as did GMANZ. The Commission has also recommended a change in the split between providers that would benefit Class 4.

The final decision now sits with Cabinet: we wait to see if they adopt the Commission’s recommendations.

A special acknowledgment to our counsel, Jarrod True, whose work on our submission was key in securing this outcome.

We will keep you updated as Cabinet considers the recommendations. Click here to read the report.
